2/28/2023 EnchantaVaughn Approved 1.Behavior: QMHP-C greeted Ashiyah upon arrival to the home setting. Upon arrival to the home setting, Ashiyah appeared to be in a positive mood evident by her facial expressions such as a smile on the face. QMHP-C inquired about her day. She verbalized to QMHP-C that her day was going well but that she struggled with her Anger the last couple of sessions. QMHP-C informed Ashiyah that this session was going to focus on anger management. 2. Behavior: Ashiyah contributed to the session and did not need any redirection throughout the session as she participated fully in session. Ashiyah became frustrated at times of the session because her mother was discussing what she was not going to be tolerating this year while Ashiyah blames her actions and behaviors on her peers within the school, home and community setting. 1. Intervention: QMHP-C began the session by inquiring about Ashiyah’s current thoughts, feelings and emotions. QMHP-C engaged Ashiyah and Ms. Hodge in a mother /daughter exercise to teach them both how to be actively listen and communicate with each other in a positive manner without being negative, and engaging in negative confrontation. QMHP-C had to redirect Ashiyah on numerous occasions as she likes to talk over people and doesn't know how to listen thoroughly. 2. Intervention: QMHP-C modeled age-appropriate ways for Ashiyah to communicate with her mother instead of acting out by calling names and taught her how to eliminate disrespectful behaviors. QMHP-C discussed how her picking behaviors causes others to become angry and upset as well as how her behaviors are projected onto others as negative. QMHP-C had Ashiyah and Ms. Hodge to discuss positive things about each other and openly discussed each. 1. Response: Ashiyah appeared to be receptive to QMHP-Cs’ interventions and services that were provided to her during the session. Ashiyah and Ms. Hodge both participated in the exercise as Ashiyah had to be redirected on several occasions. 2. Response: Ashiyah was refusing to listen and talk through the activity indicating that she knows how to communicate when she wants something and when she needs to when it is appropriate. QMHP-C educated Ashiyah on how this session wouldn’t have to focus on strengthening her communication if she knew how; therefore, it is necessary this session be conducted.
